Synopsis
The Father of Four family gets new Japanese neighbors and helps the Tanaka family get settled into their new country, Denmark. Through funny, embarrassing and crazy situations, a friendship spanning two cultures flourishes, and Per and Shin, who are the same age, become best friends. The Japanese family has learned Danish in a short time in order to get settled in. According the Japanese customs, you must feel at home in a new place after a month. Otherwise, you must go home to where you came from. Per helps Shin at school. But the class Viking play and the troublemaker Mark causes problems for den Japanese boy. Per and Shin try to conceal the problems from the Japanese parents so they think that everything is as it should be. However, when Mr. Tanaka discovers that Shin is having problems at school after all, he decides that the Japanese family should go back home to Japan. Only when Per and Shin perform an act of true heroism on a school outing to the zoo does everything seem to have a happy ending. Thanks to Father of Four.

Niels Olsen - Dad
- is a member of the popular comedy ensemble “Sons of the Desert”, which has played for full houses since 1994.
In 1999, he won the hearts of the Danes in the role of Niller in Susanne Bier’s romantic comedy “The One and Only” and since then, he has followed up on his success with “Open Hearts” (2002), “Move Me” (2003) and the role of Dad in the three “My Sister’s Kids” films (2001, 2002, 2004).
Jess Ingerslev - Uncle Anders
- is probably best known as the partner of Tom McEwan with whom he has indeed made numerous shows such as “Klyderne” and “Omsen & Momsen”.
Jess has an impressive repertoire of plays, revues as well as TV and feature films - including “Walter & Carlo – op på fars hat” (1985) and “Walter & Carlo – Yes, det er far” (1986) and “Prince of Jutland” (1994
Kasper Kesje - Little Per - born
1999
Kasper had his debut in the first Father of Four film ”Father of Four - Never Gives Up” (2005). Then came ”Father of Four - Living Large” (2006) and ”Father of Four - Back Home” (2008).
He also dubs computer games and films and most recently, he dubbed the voice of one of the main characters in an upcoming animated film from Disney/Pixar. His absolutely greatest interest is animals and he still wants be a paleontologist.
Kasper plays the violin and practices karate in his spare time and he is a devoted Donald Duck fan.
Kathrine Bremerskov Kaysen - Mie-
born 1993
Kathrine debuted on film in ”Father of Four - Never Gives Up”, but prior to that, she had performed for an audience in Folketeatret’s production of ”A Midsummer Night’s Dream”.
Furthermore, Kathrine works in dubbing and she has spoken and sung in computer games, animated films and live action films. Kathrine takes singing lessons and plays the piano.
Jakob Wilhjelm Poulsen - Ole -
born 1993
Jakob debuted in ”Father of Four - Never Gives Up” and went on to appear in ”Father of Four - Living Large”. He spends his free time playing basketball and hanging out with his friends. Jakob plays the drums in a percussion band.
Carla Mickelborg - Søs - born 1988
Carla debuted on film in ”Father of Four - Never Gives Up”, but prior to that, she had played amateur theatre in an after school program.
Søren Bregendal - Peter - born
1983
Søren Bregendal became famous in Denmark with the pop music group C21. Later on, he went solo and issued the album ”Life Is Simple Not Easy”.
Søren had his feature film debut in ”Father of Four: Never Gives Up”, and later on, he appeared in ”Father of Four - Living Large”, ”Triple Dare” and ”Rich Kids”. On TV, he is known from ”2900 Happiness”. In the fall of 2009, Søren Bregendal participated in the Danish version of ”Dancing With The Stars”.
Cecilie Meiniche - Stella- born 1992
Cecilie debuted in ”Father of Four - Back Home” and prior to this, she performed on stage with her own band. She is attending high school on the rhythmic lime, where she will pursue her great interest in singing and acting. Cecilie is the elder of four siblings (all girls).
